Ringette Information - First Night
Submitted By Lisa Newman on Monday, November 26, 2018
Welcome to the kick-off of the 2018-19 Ringette House League season.  The ice is ready and the fun begins Monday, Sept 17, 6:00 pm for Learn-to-Skate, 7:00 pm for 9 year olds and under and 8:00 pm for the 10 year olds and up. Adult co-Ed at 9:00 pm. All Ringette events are played at Erickson Arena.  For the first two weeks, we will be practicing and becoming familiar with each other and we will take time to sort out groups and teams.  Please note that we do not have any ice time from September 22-28 as Chatham is hosting The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Event.

Other ice user groups displaced by the tournament are utilizing ice at Erickson Arena during these days. House League practices will resume Saturday morning, September 29th, so check the schedule for your appropriate ice time at http://www.chathamringette.com/ice-schedule/

Once things are sorted, the House League games will be played on Monday nights and the HL practices will be on Saturday mornings, again, please be sure to check the Ice Schedule for your team.

For the first few ice times, until teams are confirmed, you will need to have a practice jersey.  If you do not have one, we will have some that you can borrow.  Once the teams are set, you will be loaned a jersey for the season, to be returned at the last ice time that you attend.  Please be sure to have the appropriate Ringette mask, stick (please, no cut-off hockey sticks), and full Ringette gear.

When you arrive, there will be a table that you will be able to receive your fundraising lottery tickets and a check in to be sure you have all your Registration requirements confirmed.  What that entails, if you have not already done so…a completed Registration Form and Medical Waiver (2 separate forms available to be completed online at www.chathamringette.com/registration) and payment in FULL.  This must be complete to insure that you are completely registered with Ringette Ontario and everyone is covered under the Ringette Canada Insurance policy.

Thank you for joining in on the fastest game on ice and be prepared to have a fulfilled, competitive season.

Sharpen up those skates and we at Chatham Ringette, look forward to seeing you at the rink.

Yours gratefully,
Chatham Ringette Association
