October Information
Submitted By Lisa Newman on Thursday, October 10, 2019
A very Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you, I hope this message finds you well and ready to enjoy the long weekend.  There is no ice scheduled for Monday evening so that offers some well deserved R&R time to end the weekend with.

There is something that has come to the Chatham Ringette Association's attention.  It is mandatory that all Membership of the Association review and submit concent that you read about concussion awareness - Rowan's Law -.

This link provides all the information you will need to follow through and complete.  There is a deadline of October 15th.  If you would please take a moment and look this over and submit your confirmation, I would gratefully appreciate it.  Some valuable information is available to you in this document.

It is PICTURE DAYYYYY!!!  Yes, that's correct, Monday, October 21st is the evening that players and teams come together to have their pictures taken in their gear.  The following is the schedule for that evening:

LTS - 5:15
U7/8/9 - 6:15
U10 Travel - 6:30
U10/12/14/16 - 7:15
U14 Travel - 7:30
U16 Travel - 7:45

Please be dressed BY those times and go to the Kinette Lounge.  When you arrive there will be envelopes with the packages listed in the lobby.  Be sure to fill one out before the photo. Cheque, cash, Credit Card or Online Wireless Debit payments are offered.  The pictures will be distributed before the Christmas Season.

Speaking of Christmas, we will be participating in the fantastic Chatham Christmas Parade on Friday, November 15th.  It is a lot of fun for the kids, we will have a decorated float, music and jerseys for all the players to wear.  It is a great way to get into the Holiday spirit and promote Ringette.  I hope you will join in, more information to follow.

And last, but certainly not least, I would like to introduce you to Kara Jenner (aka Blackburn) our Association's Player Representative.  Kara has been a member of CRA from the LTS program all through the years as a Regional player, Provincial player, Coach and now is a part of the Adult program, Travel and HL as well as a Chatham Ringette Board Member!  What a resume!!!  She stands to be a liaison for player's and their families.  If you have any questions, concerns or need any information, Kara will be happy to help you.  You can message her at - [email protected]com.

That does it for the information that I needed to share.  Thank you for your time and interest and enjoy yourself and your family and friends.  I look forward to seeing you at the rink.

Yours,

Margie Van Oirschot
Chatham Ringette Chairperson/Registrar
